  1. I found your website through Marianne of Design Your (Own) Lovely Blog and your video is God sent! I’ve been looking for a Pinterest plug-in which would be more me than just Pin It. Thanks for the tips in the video, Mel.

  2. This is wonderful! Thank you so much. Is there a quick and easy way to eliminate the pin it button on certain images {i.e. one that links to a PDF}?

    1. Yah there is a setting that will allow you to pin images of a certain size (so probably bigger than 200px by 200px would be good!)

  5. Thank you SO much! I really needed a new plug-in for my custom Pin In button after my old one was screwing with my blog after a recent update. You solved my problem – – and the vid was great. Excited to follow along with your blog through social media!

  7. Thank you, can’t express that enough! Looks great and I love it!
I was wondering if you could help me with a minor issue. My original pin it button is still showing on the top left hand corner of my images, and is there a way for me to get rid of it? Pretty redundant if I have my personal pin it button with Pinterest’s pin it button too…
    Thanks once again! 🙂

  10. Thank you for this video!

I find it really really helpful, I can now create my custom pin it button. May I just ask what editor program did you used to create your custom pin?

  11. Hey Mel!

I came across your site from Marianne over at Designing Your Own Blog when I was trying to do my own pin it button! Just wanted to say thanks for the video on how to install and customize the plug-in. I’ve NEVER done that…I’m fortunate to have a web designer BFF and she has done much of it…but this was super easy to follow along and it looks awesome! Thanks again!

  16. Love this post! It can be hard to find concise and helpful tutorials for WordPress when you’re a newbie – but this was exactly what I needed in 2 minutes! I’m going to update my pin-it-button with something fresh now! Thanks again…your site is going on my personal list of resources for blogging!

  17. Wow this was so easy! I should have done this a long time ago! I’m away from my main computer traveling right now so I made what I could with what I have. (i.e. I don’t have my color scheme hex #s with me) Still love it in the meantime. Thanks for this very helpful post. You can see my new Pin It buttons at http://www.mindfulmemorykeeping.com =)

  19. Thank you for this post! I keep meaning to make a custom Pin It button, and Marianne (@ DYOB) had a post that finally got my butt in gear. Your tutorial made it clear just how easy jQuery was, so I got it up. Thanks again!

  20. Wow, Mel – thank you so much for this great tutorial (I hate researching this stuff myself)! I just downloaded and installed and am ready to rock the pin-it button!

Also just downloaded your free printable for plug-ins (thank you, thank you!) and subscribed to your newsletter! Maryanne from DYOB directed me here from her Pin-it tutorial, and anything she recommends is immediately in the books for me!

What a lovely site you have here! Enjoy your Thursday!
