It’s possible to increase the visibility of your WordPress site in google by adding a sitemap. Essentially, a sitemap is a listing of all the pages on your site. When you submit that listing to google, they can more easily index all the pages that make up your site instead of having to rely on their robots crawling through links. Submitting a sitemap of your WordPress website is especially useful for new sites and sites that don’t have a lot of backlinks. Also, sitemaps can provide more information for crawlers (ie: include info about images, specify how often content should be crawled, etc). In this video I will show you how you can create your sitemap and how you can upload it to google through google’s Webmaster Tools. Links Mentioned: WordPress SEO by Yoast Google XML Sitemaps
